Troupe Tip of the Week: Sequins

Sequins aren't just for blinging up your dress for your company's Christmas party. Keep the sparkle alive in your wardrobe even after the holidays with key accent pieces. Black keeps it classic, and you can wear just about anything with sequins as long as you keep the rest of your outfit simple.

Troupe Tip of the Week: Making Menswear Girly

Happy New Year!! We are back in action after a bit of a hiatus for the holidays, and ready to share some great fashion tips to get 2013 started off right.

One of our favorite looks for women and teens this season is menswear with a feminine twist. Here are some tips to make your look both bold and girly.

Black tights under black shorts, paired with a black blazer looks sleek and keeps the consistency of a suit while showing off your stems.

Blousey tops made out of a light-weight material tucked into high-waisted pants will give a gentle vibe. Try using light pastel colors or nudes with feminine details like ruffles, lace, or ribbons. Sheer fabric is a great choice!

Avoid busy patterns and stick to solids that will create bold, modern contrast...but don't feel like you need to use black as a staple color! For example, pair light gray trousers with a sheer navy top to create a similar effect.

To keep menswear elegant on women, always wear heels. Funky heels can be a great choice, as well as high-heeled oxfords or Mary Janes . Look for ones with fun details or contrasting colors, or try skinny pants with classic pumps. Just make sure your shoes are sassy but simple; an overly frilly shoe will detract from a menswear look.
